Warehouse Worker in Shepherdsville, KY

This warehouse worker role focuses on supporting a busy returns operation for a K12 ramp-up in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will handle packages throughout their journey in the facility, including loading and unloading trailers and trucks, sorting items to the correct destinations, and assisting with returns and rework activities. You will work as part of a diverse, collaborative, and energetic team on either first or second shift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages from trailers and delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Sort packages accurately to ensure they reach the correct destination within the facility.
• Support the returns section by processing returned items, including rework and repackaging as needed.
• Perform packing and packaging tasks to prepare orders for shipment or further processing.
• Pick and pull orders accurately using inventory and order picking procedures.
• Handle materials and products throughout the warehouse, including lifting, moving, and staging items.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including checking, organizing, and moving inbound and outbound freight.
• Operate general warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, where trained and authorized.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and support a fast-paced workflow.

Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse environment within the returns section of a large distribution facility. You will work around trailers, trucks, and material handling equipment in a fast-paced setting. Fans will be overhead, but the temperature will vary, with hot conditions in the summer and cooler conditions in the winter months. The position offers first and second shift schedules, with steady hours and a production-focused atmosphere.

This is a contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
