Sr Payroll Administrator

The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state workforce with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of payroll records, auditing time and attendance data, managing employee pay changes, and ensuring adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This position partners closely with Human Resources and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies, administer garnishments and withholdings, and respond to employee inquiries in a professional and confidential manner. Additionally, the role supports payroll audits, system data accuracy, and initiatives aimed at improving payroll processes and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Process full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state employee population Maintain payroll records with a high level of accuracy and integrity Audit time and attendance records; calculate wages, overtime, and supplemental pay Process payroll changes, including deductions, tax updates, and employment status changes (transfers, promotions, terminations) Ensure accurate and compliant calculation and distribution of final wages Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Administer wage garnishments, child support orders, and tax withholdings Maintain accurate employee data within payroll and HRIS systems Manage pay card enrollment and distribution processes Respond promptly and professionally to employee payroll inquiries Assist with internal and external payroll audits Participate in payroll-related projects and process improvement initiatives Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems (experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms preferred) Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Core Competencies Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Ensures precise payroll calculations, accurate recordkeeping, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions Payroll Compliance Knowledge: Demonstrates thorough understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax requirements Communication and Collaboration: Effectively works with cross-functional teams and communicates complex payroll information clearly #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
