MRI Technologist

We are currently seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our dynamic team in City, State. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional MRI services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI scans utilizing GE 1.5T and GE 3T equipment.
• Conduct imaging studies and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Document patient information and imaging results effectively using our electronic medical record (EMR) system, EPIC, and the PACS, McKesson.
• Provide clear communication with patients regarding procedures and assist them throughout their imaging experience.
• Participate in department meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR) required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience with X-ray and/or CT imaging is preferred.
• Strong understanding of EMR and PACS systems.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

The imaging department includes:

• 2 MRI rooms
• 4 CT rooms
• 3 X-ray rooms, along with endoscopy, operating room, and portable units
• 2 Nuclear Medicine rooms, including PET imaging
• 3 Ultrasound rooms
• 2 Interventional Radiology rooms
• 3 Mammography rooms

There may be floating opportunities to cover additional areas such as CT, X-ray, operating room, endoscopy, and emergency department as needed.

Schedule and Time Off:

Shifts will vary with a rotation of 8-hour shifts. The supervisor will create the schedule, which will include requirements for weekends and holidays. Initial unit orientation will be provided over 1-2 shifts.

Important Notes:

• Artificial nails are not permitted in patient care areas.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Request for time off (RTO) must be communicated upfront, with a limit of 7 days or less for the 13-week contract.
