Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC.

This role is part of a team responsible for end-to-end technology solutions and support for the office of the Treasurer. The ideal candidate will design and develop components and frameworks in Java, working within an Agile environment and utilizing a modern DevOps toolchain to enable CI/CD.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop components and frameworks in Java in line with development standards and best practices
• Interact with development and technology partners to derive scalable solutions
• Perform detailed technical impact analysis and drive strategic solutions
• In line with Agile principles, proactively perform robust testing on developed components
• Provide L3 support on a need basis
• Learn new technologies as future development may involve diverse platforms, software, and tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.E) or related field
• 7-10 years of professional experience
• Hands-on experience with Java, SOAP/RESTful services, Design Patterns, multi-threading, and JPA
• Experience with Spring Boot and various Spring modules
• Knowledge of caching technology (e.g., Ignite)
• Experience with DevOps tools like BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and Ansible Tower to enable CI/CD
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and Unix shell scripting
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Good analytical, debugging, and design skills
• Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to articulate problems and solutions

Desired Skills:

• Experience with OpenShift
• Experience with XL Release

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
