Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students near New York, NY as a full-time Physical Therapist. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, working exclusively onsite across two school locations. You’ll work between the hours of 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM, providing essential physical therapy services to help students achieve their educational and functional goals.
Ideal candidates are motivated therapists passionate about making a difference in the school setting. This is not a role for Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), as credentialed PTs are required for this assignment. Your experience and dedication will directly impact students’ mobility, independence, and participation in the academic environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New York
- Experience working as a PT in a school setting (preferred)
- Full-time availability for the duration of the assignment
- Ability to work onsite at two school locations
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, student-centered mindset
- Must be able to start as soon as possible
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services for students as outlined in their IEPs
- Evaluate and develop treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports
- Travel between two school sites as required during work hours
This opportunity offers a pay rate starting at $58 per hour, with increases based on experience. You’ll work a consistent weekday schedule while contributing your expertise to a vibrant school community.
