Senior Integration Engineer

Medtronic seeks a Senior Integration Engineer to deploy AI-enabled visual process monitoring solutions across global manufacturing sites. The role combines manufacturing systems expertise with industrial automation and machine vision integration to onboard equipment and accelerate adoption of the AMI platform.
Responsibilities
- Partner with manufacturing sites and controls engineers to onboard machines and vision systems into AMI platform
- Assess equipment and determine optimal approaches for collecting image, process, and operational data
- Deploy data collection infrastructure, image acquisition workflows, and connectivity services for VPM solutions
- Implement and support reusable integration patterns connecting industrial systems and manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and data flow issues impacting deployment and operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years experience
- 2+ years deploying solutions across multiple manufacturing sites or operational environments
- 2+ years collecting operational, process, machine-state, and image data from manufacturing assets
- 1+ year connecting operational technology systems to enterprise software
- Expertise in industrial protocols: OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, Modbus, Profinet
- Experience with machine vision systems, PLCs, MES platforms, and manufacturing equipment integration
- Proficiency configuring Ignition gateways, data models, and visualization components
