This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with facility inspections, preventive maintenance, safety training, work order coordination, and continuous improvement projects, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in facilities, maintenance, or safety.What You Will Experience In This Position:Conducting facility, production area, and safety inspections while helping identify and resolve safety and maintenance concerns.Supporting preventive maintenance, building repairs, fire and life-safety activities, facility improvement projects, and maintenance documentation.Assist with employee safety training, safety recordkeeping, compliance activities, and tracking corrective actions through computer-based systemsAssist with monitoring building conditions and identifying maintenance or repair needs.Coordinate with maintenance personnel and outside contractors as needed.Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and maintained.Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and facility enhancement projects.Assist with facility inspections and follow up on identified maintenance needs.Perform other job duties as assignedYou Have:A high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills, with the ability to learn safety, maintenance, and facility management systemsBasic computer skills and the ability to learn and utilize safety management, training, maintenance, and other computer-based programs.Ability to organize and maintain safety and facility records.Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills, along with a safety-focused mindset and willingness to work in a hands-on environment.Experience in facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.Work is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures. nVent is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.We Have:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every dayCommitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and workCore values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customers.Benefits to support the lives of our employees
