Software Engineer, Senior

Job Title, Location, and Compensation Shift4 (NYSE: FOUR) is hiring a Software Engineer IV (multiple openings). Position located at 3501 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034. Full‑time position with a base salary of $117,416 per year. Job Duties Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure .NET applications. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Optimize application performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement robust solutions. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices and architecture. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and performance improvements. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures. Stay up to date with the latest .NET, cloud, and software development trends and recommend innovative solutions. Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and performance requirements. Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Apply software engineering principles and best practices to ensure high-quality software development. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in applied computer science, engineering, or a related field and 4 years of software development experience. 4 years of experience with .NET technologies (VB.NET, C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, etc.) and building/maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices. Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases, including performance tuning and query optimization. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and cloud‑native development. Unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipeline experience, including Git and DevOps practices. Working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Ability to analyze complex technical solutions.
