Career Services Associate

Pay or shift range: $24 USD to $27 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Travel Required : Yes Description As a Career Services Associate, you’ll be the connection between education and opportunity. You’ll help students walk into interviews with confidence, build relationships with employers, and turn career goals into real job opportunities. Compensation: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (one later day per week after 90 day training period) Why San Joaquin Valley College: Join a college with 45+ years of experience developing talent and preparing tomorrow’s workforce Help students build careers that support their families and strengthen their communities Take your career further - many of our leaders started in student services Contribute to a learning environment where students are supported, included, and set up to succeed What You’ll Do: Provide career coaching including resume development, interview preparation, and job search strategies Support graduates in securing employment aligned with their education Build and maintain partnerships with local employers and industry contacts Coordinate hiring events, employer visits, and career workshops Track placement activity and contribute to campus placement goals Collaborate with faculty and campus teams to support student career outcomes What You'll Bring: Strong relationship-building and communication skills A passion for helping others succeed Ability to work in a goal-driven environment Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree or higher preferred Experience in staffing, recruiting, sales, or customer service preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills All qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment.
