It is recognized for safety achievements in patient care. The organization has received international honors for nursing excellence. The hospital is the region's referral center for trauma, stroke, and neonatal intensive care. It serves a variety of specialized services, including robotic surgery and cardiology. The oncology unit has 24 beds with a staff of 42. The nursing team includes both RNs and CNAs on day and night shifts. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:4 or 1:5. The standard equipment used includes EMR systems. Candidates must possess a valid RN license and BLS certification. Candidates with chemotherapy certification will be prioritized. Typical procedures performed include pelvic exams and thoracentesis. The ideal candidate is a team player and eager to learn. Staff is required to work a minimum of six weekends over the schedule.
