ICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, intensive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care skills and a proactive approach to patient management.ResponsibilitiesProvide care for patients in a stepdown ICU unit, including those in respiratory distress, with unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal symptoms, GI bleeds, and post-operative conditions.Utilize telemetry to monitor patient conditions and interpret dysrhythmias accurately.Administer and manage medications, including titration of vasoactive drips and IV insulin protocols.Perform responsibilities related to central line care management, peripheral line management, and PICC line maintenance.Implement isolation precautions and manage blood product administration.Utilize Rapid Response Teams effectively when necessary.Participate in weekend rotations and float to the sister unit as needed.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU, PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown environment.Experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips is required.Certification in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH is mandatory.Proficient in IV start, telemetry, conscious sedation, and dysrhythmia management.Familiarity with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), non-invasive airway management, and tracheostomy management.Ability to recognize and address changes in patient conditions promptly.First-time travelers are welcome to apply, and local candidates will also be considered.Work EnvironmentTarget nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-4.Commitment to schedule flexibility with options of 36 or 48 hours per week.12-hour night shifts with specific requirements for hospital orientation and EKG testing.Special EquipmentBedside telemetry monitors with remote backup systems.A-lines, BIPAP, and chest tubes management without ventilators on the unit.This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic ICU setting and possess the required certifications and experience to provide exceptional patient care.
