Dental Assistant

Position Summary Dental Assistant – Prosthodontist (Prosth.) at ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers works under a dentist’s supervision to prepare equipment, assist patients, and support the dentist during procedures, including complex functions such as suturing, x‑ray processing, and impression-taking for crowns. Responsibilities Assist the Prosthodontist during examinations and treatments, hand instruments, and maintain a dry and clear operative field using suction. Prepare, sterilize, and disinfect instruments and trays; maintain instrument inventory and storage. Take and process dental x‑rays and other radiographic images as directed. Perform patient chair‑side assistance: setup, comfort, and postoperative instruction. Handle office duties: scheduling, appointment confirmation, patient registration, treatment records, billing, payment collection, and supply ordering. Support specialty areas such as oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics—including dental implantology. Assist the hygienist with tray cleaning, room setup, and cleanup. Track prosthetic supplies inventory and maintain an organized storage closet. Qualifications Certified as a Dental Assistant by the American Dental Association. Minimum of two years experience as a Dental Assistant. Dental implant experience is desirable. Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Reliable, teamwork oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with good manual dexterity. Physical Requirements Walk, stand, and move freely within an office environment. Lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly. Stand for extended periods and maintain steady hand and arm positioning during procedures. Make coordinated finger movements to handle small instruments. Use trunk strength to support body weight continuously or repeatedly without fatigue. Move between activities and maintain multi‑limb coordination while sitting or standing. Compensation and Benefits Rate: $26‑$32 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $1,500.
