Technical Project Manager - Data Center

By adhering to our 3 values (One Sprout, Deliver Excellence, and Integrity Matters), we are proud of our culture to move at #SproutSpeed seeking to become the emerging leader in our industry The Technical Project Manager owns datacenter hardware projects across the full asset lifecycle — from initial buildout and infrastructure configuration, through steady-state operations handover, to end-of-life decommissioning and disposition. This role is the single point of accountability that keeps complex, multi-vendor hardware programs on schedule, on budget, and on spec while coordinating engineering, facilities, supply chain, and vendor teams. It is a delivery-focused role for someone equally comfortable in a project plan and on a datacenter floor, and who can translate technical detail into clear stakeholder communication. Responsibilities Plan and manage datacenter buildout projects end to end — site readiness, rack and power layout, cabling, and network fabric — against defined milestones Coordinate facilities, engineering, and vendor teams to deliver hardware installation on schedule and to spec Manage scope, dependencies, and site logistics across concurrent buildout efforts Drive the build and configuration of compute, storage, and network infrastructure to specification Manage burn-in, validation, and acceptance testing before production release Ensure configurations, firmware, and standards are consistent and documented across deployments Lead the transition of newly deployed infrastructure into steady-state operations Ensure runbooks, monitoring, documentation, and support ownership are in place before handover Confirm operations readiness and sign-off with receiving teams Manage decommissioning of end-of-life hardware — safe power-down, de-racking, and removal Oversee data sanitization, asset tracking, and compliant resale, recycling, or destruction Maintain regulatory and chain-of-custody compliance throughout the disposition process Build and maintain integrated project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reporting across all lifecycle phases Coordinate vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders, holding each accountable to scope, timeline, and quality Track hardware assets and maintain accurate lifecycle records in the CMDB / asset management system Identify risks and dependencies early, drive resolution, and escalate clearly when decisions or trade-offs are needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) Several years of technical project management experience delivering datacenter or IT infrastructure hardware projects Demonstrated experience across the hardware lifecycle: datacenter buildout, infrastructure build and configuration, operations handover, and decommissioning and disposition Certifications are a plus — e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM for project management, and datacenter / infrastructure credentials such as CDCP/CDCS, ITIL, or relevant vendor certifications (Cisco, Dell, HPE) Experience with ITAD, data sanitization standards (e.g., NIST 800-88), and environmental / chain-of-custody compliance is a plus The Company is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, creed, color, sex, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, gender, ethnicity, religion, national origin, ancestry, nationality, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, genetic information, or on any other basis prohibited by law (except where an attribute is a bona fide occupational qualification). #J-18808-Ljbffr Sproutup
