Production Operator

Join our team as a Production Operator where you will play a vital role in running multiple pieces of automated machinery for silicon wafer manufacturing. This position requires working in a semi-cleanroom environment and adhering to strict safety protocols, including wearing specific PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hairnets, safety shoes, and scrubs. You will work 12-hour shifts on a compressed schedule, alternating between day and night shifts, with opportunities for additional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Follow complex procedures to polish and clean silicon wafers according to customer specifications using Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology.
• Operate double-sided polishing machines and cleaning processes to ensure wafers meet quality standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment, addressing machine and quality issues proactively.
• Input data into Excel and track processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform visual inspections and report quality issues promptly.
• Maintain safety standards and act as a role model in safe behaviors.
• Clean equipment and work areas to meet manufacturing standards.

Essential Skills

• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, reach, and grasp.
• Capability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
• Proficiency in using a computer, keyboard, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other similar software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior production experience is preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• High sense of urgency and ability to work well with others.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
