Job Description

This role focuses on installing and completing electrical systems for large custom modular buildings, including schools, hospitals, banks, restaurants, and offices. You will work as part of an in-house trades team that takes each unit from start to finish, ensuring all electrical work meets national electrical codes and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical prints to install electrical systems in commercial modular buildings in accordance with national electrical codes.
• Run, pull, and terminate electrical wiring throughout modular units to ensure safe and reliable power distribution.
• Measure, cut, and bend conduit accurately to route wiring and protect electrical circuits.
• Install electrical boxes, fixtures, and devices such as receptacles, switches, and lighting in line with project requirements.
• Terminate wires into panels, junction boxes, and other electrical enclosures with neat and code-compliant workmanship.
• Coordinate with other trades, including plumbers, carpenters, welders, and laborers, to complete each unit efficiently from start to finish.
• Work at the modular building site to perform electrical installations either inside a hangar or in the yard, depending on project stage.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area while handling tools, materials, and equipment.
• Travel to project finish locations when selected to help assemble and complete structures on site.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and work from blueprints and electrical prints.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and national electrical codes.
• Proficiency in running, pulling, and terminating electrical wiring.
• Experience bending and installing conduit for commercial applications.
• Skill in installing electrical boxes, fixtures, and devices.
• Competence with hand tools commonly used in electrical and construction work.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce neat, code-compliant electrical installations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with working alongside other trades such as plumbing, carpentry, and welding on integrated modular projects.
• Experience with materials such as PVC, PEX, copper, and cast iron in a construction environment.
• Comfort reading and interpreting construction blueprints beyond electrical plans.
• Ability to travel occasionally to project finish locations to assist with assembly and final electrical work.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced construction setting.

Work Environment

You will work primarily at a modular building site, either inside a large hangar or in the yard once buildings are roughed in. The environment is hands-on and construction-focused, with close collaboration among electricians, plumbers, carpenters, welders, and laborers. Standard hand tools and electrical tools are used daily, and work is performed on partially or fully assembled modular units. Travel is generally limited, with occasional trips to project finish locations when selected to assist with assembling and completing the structures on site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leola, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
