Volt is immediately hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician in Hillsboro, Oregon 97124 with an American semiconductor company that designs, manufactures, and supplies radio-frequency systems and solutions for applications that drive wireless and broadband communications, as well as foundry services.

This is a direct career opportunity working on a compressed work weeknight shift – (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. This is a factory position and requires wearing cleanroom attire and working in a cleanroom environment.

As an Equipment Maintenance Tech, you will be:

• Responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment
• Work closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks
• Work closely with peers, supervisors, and engineering team to deeply understand root cause of failure and use those learnings to continuously improve equipment availability to meet production goals
• Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives, and may be required to attend classes, seminars, vendor training if required
• Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities
• Document all work performed on equipment

This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

• Associate degree in technical discipline or equivalent military experience is required
• A minimum of 4 years' hands on technical maintenance experience in high volume semiconductor environment
• The ideal candidate will have direct experience on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment
• Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills required
• Candidate must be comfortable navigating and operating computers
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
• Ability to work under minimum supervision in a fast paced, high volume production environment
• Must be physically capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 35 pounds

Salary: $86000-$87360 per annum
