Locum Tenens Physician Interventional Cardiology

Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Physician Interventional Cardiology
Location: Mechanicsville, VA
Shift: Days + On Call

Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult, geriatric
Setting: Inpatient / Call
Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite coverage Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM.
  • Provide weekday evening call coverage from 5:00 PM 7:00 AM.
  • Provide weekend call coverage from Saturday 7:00 AM Monday 7:00 AM.
  • Potential rounding responsibilities.
  • Manage inpatient admissions and cardiovascular emergencies.
  • Collaborate with other Interventional Cardiologists during coverage.

Required Procedures:

  • Balloon Angioplasties
  • Coronary Angioplasty
  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
  • Heart Catheterization
  • Medical Management of Vascular Disease
  • Coronary Angiograms
  • Embolic Protection
  • Carotid Artery Stenting
  • Atherectomy

EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present
Days Per Month: As scheduled for the listed coverage dates
On-Call/Weekends: Yes weekday evenings and weekends

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified REQUIRED
  • BLS/ACLS REQUIRED
  • Active Virginia State License REQUIRED
  • Clean Malpractice REQUIRED
  • Self-Query NPDB Report pulled within 30 days REQUIRED
  • Must be available for all listed dates: 9/8 at 7:00 AM through 9/11 at 5:00 PM REQUIRED
