Join our team of seasoned professionals and become a part of the New York food scene.To Go Associates are responsible for preparation and maintenance of all hot bar, cold bar and salad barRole/ResponsibilitiesPrepare food items for To Go bars including hot/cold bars, salad barsEnsure all products meet Citarella standards of quality, quantity, freshness, and presentationMonitor food levels and replenish items in a timely mannerEnsure proper dating, labeling, rotation, and storage of productMaintain clean and organized work stations and surrounding areasMaintain safety, cleanliness and display standards in compliance with Citarella policies and food safety handling procedures.Provide exceptional customer serviceOther reasonably assigned duties as per business needMinimum Qualifications1+ year experience working in a kitchen or food service preparation role (restaurant/catering/hotel experience is preferred)Prior grill, saute, or related kitchen station experienceAbility to work in a high-volume, fast paced environmentExcellent customer service skills and a professional demeanorAbility to visually examine products for quality/freshness and execute product batches per Citarella standards/recipesAbility to work both independently as well as with a teamEffective communication/interpersonal skills and ability to take directionExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsWillingness and ability to learn about our productsAbility to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift, carry, push and pull weightsAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidaysAt Citarella, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
