Outside Sales Representative Founded in 1935, Roto‑Rooter is North America’s largest plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider. The company operates over 100 company‑owned branches, independent contractor territories, and approximately 400 franchise operations, serving roughly 90 % of the U.S. population and parts of Canada. Overview Roto‑Rooter seeks Outside Sales Representatives for our Excavation and Water Restoration departments. Candidates should actively pursue sales opportunities and qualified leads provided by field service technicians and call centers. Prior experience in outside sales of in‑home services is strongly desired. Responsibilities Engage in proactive follow‑up communication with existing customers to deliver effective solutions for their plumbing or water‑related issues. Leverage the established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive quotes for repair/replacement options and close sales. Serve as a trusted information resource for Roto‑Rooter customers. Excavation Sales Responsibilities Identify and sell opportunities to repair and/or replace sewer lines for residential and commercial customers. Conduct camera assessments of sewer lines to determine root interruption or breakage requiring repair or replacement. Water Restoration Sales Responsibilities Identify and sell opportunities to mitigate property damage caused by water to residential and commercial customers. Perform assessments of property to determine moisture levels and the need for demolition and drying to acceptable levels. Requirements A valid driver’s license. Exceptional focus on delivering outstanding customer service. Thrives in a fast‑paced work environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in outside sales of in‑home services. Organized self‑starter with an outgoing personality. Working knowledge of common software programs.
