Research Assistant, Institute of Gerontology,Part-Time Wayne State University is searching for an experienced ResearchAssistant, Institute of Gerontology, Part-Time at its Detroitcampus location. Position Purpose: Provide part-time support for research studies focused on socialand psychological determinants of health and aging. Assist withday-to-day research activities, participant communication, dataorganization, and administrative support. Essential Functions: Assist with qualitative research activities, including schedulinginterviews, organizing/editing/coding transcripts, maintainingstudy files, and supporting data management. Support recruitment, participant tracking, and study logistics forresearch activities Assist with literature reviews, formatting references, andpreparing research-related materials and reports. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree. Discipline: Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, LifeSciences, Social Work, Gerontology, Criminal Justice, or relatedfield. Experience: Entry level (at least one year of job-relatedexperience). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meetingplatforms. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a researchteam. Interest in aging, psychology, or public health researchpreferred.
