Associate Medical Director, Boston EMS / Attending Emergency Medicine Physician

Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine , Department of Emergency Medicine, is seeking a board‑certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join our faculty as Associate Medical Director for Boston EMS. The successful applicant will hold an academic appointment at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and will work at the Boston Medical Center Campus . Job Requirements Medical Degree (M.D., D.O., or MBBS) Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Emergency Medicine Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Experience in pre‑hospital emergency medicine and EMS medical direction Experience in urban EMS systems, quality assurance, protocol development, and medical education (preferred) Fellowship training in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) (preferred) Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Responsibilities Medical oversight and operational leadership for Boston EMS Support EMS training, quality assurance, protocol development, and field operations Serve as Medical Director or liaison for special projects and initiatives Participate in off‑hours training, field clinical time, special event coverage, and emergency management Provide clinical practice as an Attending Emergency Medicine Physician at Boston Medical Center Take educational responsibilities including didactic teaching and mentorship of Emergency Medicine residents, APPs, medical students, and interdepartmental learners Engage in academic scholarship, quality improvement, and/or research initiatives Compensation Competitive salary commensurate with academic training and clinical experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The advertised salary range is $295,345 – $424,779, which is a good faith estimate based on qualifications and experience.
