Warehouse Distribution Lead

Job Summary As a lead Distribution Associate, you will provide leadership and perform manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products. You must coordinate warehouse and distribution teamwork activities, including materials handling, forklift operations, and warehouse operations. Responsibilities Lead the receipt of goods by receiving items against the shipment record and inspecting their condition. Reject damaged, excess, or misdirected goods and route material to inspection, store, or other destinations. Lead the selection, verification, and packing of shipments in accordance with specifications, equipment characteristics, and the transportation method. Check goods against shipping documents and authorizations. Verify product identification and quality. Record received and shipped items according to established procedures. Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas. Complete written and computerized documentation. Resolve inventory variances, tracking errors, and other issues. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent education and experience. At least 5 years of related warehouse experience. Forklift certification (may be required). Thorough knowledge of shipping and receiving, warehouse and distribution procedures, including handling exceptions. Basic reading, writing, and numerical ability. Strong verbal communication skills. Effective coordination of warehouse distribution teamwork activities. Valid driver's license with a good driving record (may be required). Able to operate powered equipment, such as a forklift or a hydraulic jack lift. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Compensation & Benefits This is an hourly non‑exempt role. The starting pay range for this position is $22.68 per hour to $29.77 per hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography, market, and the candidate’s skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Employees are eligible for overtime when working more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
