We’re seeking a hands-on Toolmaker who thrives in a fast-moving, team-first shop. You’ll produce precision tooling, prototypes, and production parts using a range of manual and CNC machines while maintaining rigorous quality standards and documentation.

• Department: Direct Labor
• Reports to: Machining Manager

• Plan work, organize setups, and keep clean documentation
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes
• Measure with calipers, micrometers, and visual comparators to validate critical dimensions
• Operate manual lathes, Proto TRAK CNC Milling Machines, Proto TRAK CNC Turning Machines, plus horizontal and vertical band saws
• Grind, cut, and polish materials; complete finishing with hand tools
• Inspect and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment in peak condition

• 10+ years of related machining experience
• Machinist vocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship
• Fine motor skills and an eye for detail
• Strong lathe machining experience
• A quality-first mindset
• Blueprint reading proficiency and command of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

Physical and Mental Efforts: Extensive mobility with occasional lifts over 50 pounds; extended standing and walking; close visual tasks; ability to hear normal sounds with some background noise; sustained focus for 45–60 minutes despite interruptions.

Environmental and Working Conditions: Industrial shop setting with dust, dirt, and metal debris; moderate noise levels.
