Senior Human Resources Manager

Senior Human Resources Manager Job Overview Contract: 5 month contract with possible extension. Pay Rate: $50 – $55 per hour on W2. Location: Onsite at the Linden, NJ facility. Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level. Employment Type: Contract. Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with production and workforce needs. Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and workforce planning. Lead culture-building initiatives that support a high-performance environment. Agency & Workforce Management Oversee relationships with third-party staffing agencies to ensure timely and quality labor support. Ensure alignment between agency labor practices and company standards. Monitor agency performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Align contingent labor strategies with production forecasts and seasonal demands. HR Program Execution Recruitment and onboarding. Training and career development. Employee relations. Compensation and benefits training. Support line managers in applying HR programs to departmental operations. Policy & Compliance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EEO, FMLA, FLSA). Respond to employee and candidate inquiries regarding HR policies and offerings. Lead investigations and risk mitigation efforts. HR Operations & Service Delivery Oversee and optimize the delivery of core HR services and administrative processes across the employee lifecycle. Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable and compliant HR procedures. Ensure consistent and efficient execution of HR transactions and workflows. Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate employee data and uphold service level standards. Drive operational excellence through metrics, process audits, and system-supported solutions. Culture & Engagement Champion employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities for the employee population. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, safety, maintenance, FSQA, and EHS teams. Qualifications 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in the food manufacturing space.
