Circuit Board Test Operator - 1st Shift 

Location: Batavia, OH

1st Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6 AM - 3:15PM & Friday, 6 AM - 12 PM

Off EVERY FRIDAY! AT NOON

Assembler Pay Rate: $15.50/hr

Inspector Pay Rate: $17/hr

Test Operator Pay Rate: $15.50/hr

Assembly Summary: Perform hand assembly work on pre-/post-surface mount circuit boards by following detailed written work instructions.

Inspector Summary: Perform detailed inspection on all products including line inspections, and ESD monitoring.

Test Operator Summary: Test Operator serves to test/verify product through the Test Cell at production volumes by adhering to customer supplied test criteria (i.e.: test procedures, test software, diagrams, etc.) or other detailed instructions. 

Assembly Responsibilities/ Principal Duties:

• Basic understanding and application of the IPC-A-610 standards.
• Ability to read and apply shop documentation according to applicable assembly drawings.
• Identify and read the values, correct polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components.
• Identify the orientation and polarity of components according to the printed circuit board’s reference designators and silk screen for thru-hole component placement.
• Verify thru-hole part values and correct part location placement.
• Utilize basic equipment necessary to complete the product’s final assembly including hand tools, electronic cutters, PCB depaneling equipment, automatic screw guns and feeders, pneumatic dispensing equipment, and/or other required tools per application.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities/ Principal Duties: Inspector 

• Recognize and read values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole and SMT components i.e. capacitors, resistors, transistors, IC’s etc.
• A complete understanding of the IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
• Utilize inspection-gauging equipment to meet customer and IPC standards.
• Identify and read customer supplied assembly drawing for referencing component polarity, orientation, and reference designators.
• Utilize a bill of materials to identify customer part numbers for inspection requirements and values.
• Periodic spot checks to ensure that all personnel are following ESD procedures.
• Can identify SMT and thru-hole packages including MELF’s, SOT’s, PLCC’s etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Equipment: Training will be given in the use of production equipment.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements: 

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Manual dexterity is crucial in the placement and handling of thru-hole components. Good eyesight is necessary for identifying components and their placement. Occasional light lifting will be required.

Work Environment: Job functions will be performed in and around production.
