As a Security Officer Credential Control in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor entry points, verify access, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue temporary badges, and/or document visitor activity in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
- Respond to incidents, access issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
- Operate access control systems, alarm panels, communication tools, and/or related technology used to support authorized entry, restricted areas, and after-hours activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, lobbies, and/or perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and support security-related procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
