The employee in this position is responsible for providing essential clerical, operational, and administrative support to the Public Health Department. Located at our main Coupeville campus, this role ensures smooth daily workflows, supports departmental governance, and facilitates effective coordination between internal divisions, county leadership, and the public.

Position may be hired as an Office Manager 1 or Office Manager 2; pay within range is dependent upon prior experience and qualifications.

Hourly Pay:

Office Manager 1: $24.30

Office Manager 2: $28.14

Job duties include correspondence and documentation, contract administration, facility and work order coordination, board of county commissioners agenda preparation, board of health governance support, meeting logistics and public support, asset management and inventory, records management and confidentiality, fiscal and payroll support, training and logistics support, recruitment and human resources liaison, onboarding coordination, emergency preparedness logistics, and vendor and equipment maintenance.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include office support functions, information gathering and reporting, calendaring and scheduling, software and technical proficiency, public sector governance and compliance, interpersonal and communication skills, and typing speed.

Education, experience, and certifications may be gained through various combinations of professional employment, education, and credentials. Candidates may qualify through the high school option, associate/bachelor option, or master's degree option.
