Shipper/ReceiverJob Summary: One of the key roles of the Shipper/Receiver is to assure safe loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products. Must be committed to safe forklift operation and have the ability to work from a pick list.Key Responsibilities:Ability to safely operate a sit down forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certificationMust be comfortable working outside in the elementsCommunicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materialsAbility to think on your feet in identifying from the pick list where the material is located either in the yard or warehouseIdentify where product is located in the yard by utilizing the identifying signsAble to use FIFO system correctly to pull pallets for loadingGuide the truck drivers where they need to go in order to be safely loaded/unloadedMust be willing to learn other job duties in shipping and scale houseKnowledge of railcar unloading process, Trackmobile operation and railroad safetyMust adhere to all IKO safety policies.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredMust be legally authorized to work in U.S.Must be able to pass a forklift certification class and testMust be able to read a pick listMust be able to work overtime as necessary, which could include weekendsMust be able to pass a fit for duty PhysicalMust be able to lift up to 76 lbs. unassistedStarting at: $22.28 per hour.Benefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
