Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:
Provides high-quality laboratory testing and technical support as a Medical Laboratory Technician, ensuring accurate and timely results to aid clinical decision-making. Supports routine and specialized testing in a fast-paced laboratory environment, adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests with precision and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and QC errors to maintain optimal operation.
• Communicate technical information effectively to medical staff and laypersons.
• Assist in training laboratory personnel in procedures and safety protocols.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or relevant scientific discipline.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP BOC or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in Hematology and Chemistry.
• Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory safety, quality control, and instrumentation.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a rotating schedule.
• South Carolina RN or Medical Technologist license preferred; pending licenses accepted.
