Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: North Charleston, SC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care within the ICU, managing a patient load of 1-3 patients, including those on ventilators. The position requires adherence to the facility's guidelines, including a bedside shift report and floating to other departments, such as the emergency department or PCU, as needed. Training opportunities are available for those interested in specialized areas such as Neuro ICU or Cardiovascular ICU nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a patient load of 1-3 ICU patients, including ventilated patients.
• Administer medications and coordinate with healthcare teams during patient handoffs.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as CRRT, Swan Ganz, and monitor advanced hemodynamics.
• Perform procedures including post-operative care for CABG, monitoring for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, and care for patients with EVDs and induced hypothermia.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 36 months of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting.
• Previously completed at least 1 travel assignment, preferably in a facility using Meditech.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.
• Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and performing phlebotomy.
• BSN and advanced certifications (e.g., TNCC) are preferred.
