Job Description Job Title: CNC Mill Setup and Operator This role focuses on setting up and operating Haas CNC vertical mills to produce complex, short- to medium-run parts with tight tolerances. You will work from blueprints and technical specifications, perform precision inspections, and collaborate closely with engineering, programming, and quality teams to ensure high-quality, efficient production. Responsibilities Set up and operate Haas CNC mills for short- to medium-run production of complex components. Select and install appropriate tooling, set work offsets, and perform complete machine setups to meet production requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing. Use Mastercam and G&M code to make program edits and optimize machining processes. Perform first article inspections and adjust programs, tooling, and offsets to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards. Inspect finished and in-process parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Conduct routine preventative maintenance on CNC mills to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Programming teams to resolve discrepancies and improve manufacturing processes. Essential Skills Hands-on experience setting up and operating Haas CNC vertical mills. Proficiency with CNC setup and operation, including tooling selection, work offsets, and machine setup. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Working knowledge of G&M code and the ability to make program edits at the machine. Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software for program adjustments and optimization. Why Work Here?
