Accounting Administrator

Job Full Description

Established company in Woodstock, IL is looking to add an Accounting Administrator to their team. This is a highly visibility position as you will report directly to the company president. Accounting Administrator Responsibilities:

• Assist in company weekly payroll with timecard review and tally, benefit plan deposits and reports, etc..
• Accounts Receivable - responsible for Cash Receipt Deposits, Entry & Collections.
• Accounts Payable - Review Purchasing and receiving documents, code payables, input, prepare vendor payments and investigate client's A/P invoices.
• General Ledger - reconciliation of accounts, prepare financial statements, prepare reconciling journal entries. Punctual delivery of financial statements.
• Keeps track of company assets
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts verbally and written
• Prepares schedules & reports as requested
• Handles investments.
• Cash Management with multiple bank accounts and loans.
• Generates 1099's for vendors.
• Works with accountants, third-party administrators, and auditors as needed.
• Process 401k contributions & compliance reporting.
• Manage group health insurance premiums and claims.
• Notary Public as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Accounting Administrator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of computerized accounting (Quickbooks, Acctivate or equiv.)
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• 2-5 years accounting, payroll experience
• 1+ years human resources experience (401k, benefits, insurance, etc.)
• Prior business management experience preferred
• Great organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to details
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.

Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000, DOE
