President and CEO

The client seeks a strategic, collaborative, authentic, and mission-driven leader to serve as its next President and CEO. This role leads a high-performing philanthropic organization that advances the flagship public research mission of the state’s university system by strengthening private support through philanthropy, endowment management, and strategic partnerships with university leadership. The President/CEO will partner closely with the client’s Board of Directors, the university president, senior university and university system leadership, alumni leadership, and client staff to strengthen philanthropic support, steward and grow the organization’s assets, and elevate the culture of philanthropy across the university community. The role is expected to build on existing alumni engagement and donor commitment to expand fundraising capacity, deepen major and principal gift relationships, and align philanthropic priorities with the university’s strategic direction. The position requires leadership capabilities, experience, and knowledge that support effective governance partnership, mission-aligned philanthropy, and asset stewardship.
