Automation Analyst

DescriptionSummary: The Automation Analyst is responsible for identifying, designing, deploying, and supporting robotic process automation (RPA) and other workflow automation solutions across the organization. This role works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and deliver measurable business value.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Process AnalysisCollaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders to analyze existing manual or inefficient processesIdentify opportunities for automation based on business impact, feasibility, and ROIDocument current-state processes and recommend optimized future-state workflowsSolution DesignDesign scalable and efficient automation solutions using RPA and related technologiesDevelop workflow diagrams, process maps, wireframes, and technical specificationsEnsure alignment with automation best practices, governance standards, and architectural guidelinesImplementationBuild, configure, test, and deploy automation solutions using approved RPA toolsMonitor automations in production to ensure consistent performance and accuracyCollaborate with IT and business teams to support successful rollout and integrationMaintenanceTroubleshoot and resolve issues within RPA workflows and integrationsPerform system updates, enhancements, and optimizations to existing automationsMaintain change logs, version control, and performance metricsDocumentationDevelop and maintain detailed solution documentation, including technical design documents, test plans, and user guidesEnsure process documentation is accurate, clear, and up to dateTraining & SupportProvide training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support to end‑users and business teamsAssist in developing training materials and conducting workshops or demosEducation and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Lean/Six Sigma or process improvement certification is a plusProject management experience or certifications (Agile, PMP, Scrum) are beneficial but not required2–4+ years of experience in automation, business analysis, or process improvement roles.Hands-on experience with RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar platformsExperience analyzing business processes and documenting workflowsExperience implementing and supporting automation solutions in a production environmentExposure to Agile or iterative project methodologies is a plusSkills and Abilities Proficiency with MS Power Platform and other RPA tools Understanding of workflow automation concepts, APIs, and system integrationsAbility to interpret and write simple logic or scripts (JavaScript, Python, VB.NET, SQL, etc., depending on platform)Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve system or process issuesFamiliarity with SDLC, testing methods, and change managementStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to assess process efficiency and identify automation opportunitiesCompetence in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, etc.)Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and qualityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teamsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCustomer‑focused mindset with the ability to support non‑technical usersAbility to demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior and confidentiality and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
