The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and daily operations of the collision repair center. This role is accountable for driving financial performance, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement while ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The General Manager leads and develops the shop team, partners with corporate support departments, and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement to achieve company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the collision repair center, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and profitability. 
• Review daily production schedules, hot sheets, repair status, and work-in-progress to maximize shop efficiency. 
• Conduct daily production meetings to review repair progress, address obstacles, and establish priorities. 
• Assign and dispatch work to technicians based on skill level, repair complexity, and production needs. 
• Monitor repair plans and production timelines to ensure on-time vehicle delivery. 
• Assist with vehicle estimating, blueprinting, and supplement approvals as needed. 
• Review, reconcile, and close repair orders accurately and in a timely manner. 
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, gross profit, cycle time, touch time, CSI, and productivity. 
• Review sales forecasts, pending credits, accounts receivable, and financial reports to ensure shop profitability. 
• Oversee payroll verification, scheduling, timekeeping, and other employee-related administrative responsibilities. 
• Recruit, coach, develop, and retain high-performing team members while promoting employee engagement and accountability. 
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven workplace culture. 
• Ensure compliance with OEM repair procedures, company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, insurance partners, vendors, and corporate support teams. 
• Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a best-in-class customer experience. 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction. 
• When applicable, safely operate, move, and relocate vehicles throughout the facility and lot to support shop operations, workflow, inspections, quality control, and customer or production needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience managing a collision repair facility. 
• Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. 
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing shop profitability and operational performance. 
• Extensive knowledge of collision repair operations, estimating, blueprinting, production management, and customer service. 
• Experience with CCC ONE estimating and management software preferred. 
• Strong understanding of insurance carrier processes and OEM repair procedures. 
• Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities. 
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

The specific pay rate/salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a number of factors including experience, education, specialized certifications from OEMs, and where the job is located.
