License Compliance Sales Representative

Position Overview

The License Compliance Sales Representative is a quota-carrying sales professional responsible for driving revenue through Autodesk's License Compliance sales motion.

You will own complex opportunities from assessment through close, using software usage intelligence, telemetry, licensing data, and other insights to identify commercial opportunities and shape customer engagement strategies. You will engage stakeholders ranging from operational teams to C-level decision-makers, lead complex negotiations, and orchestrate Autodesk resources to deliver sustainable outcomes for customers and Autodesk.

Success requires the curiosity of an investigator, the business acumen of a consultant, and the drive of a high-performing sales professional.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of License Compliance opportunities from assessment and strategy through engagement, negotiation, and close
• Deliver against revenue goals while maintaining strong pipeline, opportunity, and forecast discipline
• Analyze software usage, telemetry, licensing, audit, and other customer intelligence to identify commercial opportunities and determine the right engagement strategy
• Lead consultative, customer-focused engagements and negotiations across multiple organizational levels, including senior executives and C-level stakeholders
• Translate complex findings into clear business insights and solutions that create sustainable outcomes for customers and Autodesk
• Orchestrate cross-functional teams and partners to advance opportunities, resolve roadblocks, and drive results
• Apply sound commercial judgment, ownership, and adaptability in complex and ambiguous situations

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, software, technology, or subscription-based businesses
• Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales opportunities and delivering against revenue targets
• Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to turn data into effective customer and commercial strategies
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple opportunities and navigate challenging customer conversations with resilience and sound judgment
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and execution skills
• Ability and willingness to travel as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling complex technology solutions
• Experience with software licensing, Software Asset Management (SAM), License Compliance, governance, audit, or related disciplines
• Experience using telemetry, software usage intelligence, analytics, or other data-driven insights in commercial engagements

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $101,300 and $181,500. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
