This role is ideal for a veterinary technician who enjoys hands-on patient care, client communication, and helping patients who need timely treatment but may not require full critical care support. You will work closely with our veterinarians and emergency team to help assess, treat, and support non-critical urgent cases presenting through our ER service.

About This Role

As an Urgent Care Technician, you will assist veterinarians throughout the patient visit, helping provide efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care. Cases may include, but are not limited to:

• Bandage changes
• Ear cytologies
• Urinary tract infections
• Lameness exams
• Wound care
• Minor injuries
• GI upset
• Skin and ear concerns
• Triage support for stable urgent cases
• Client education and discharge support

Minimum Qualifications

• Two years of general practice experience preferred
• Strong interest in urgent care and emergency medicine
• Comfort working swing shifts, weekends, and a holiday rotation
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach

You Might Also Have

• CVT, RVT, or LVT
• Desire to obtain technician licensure
• Interest in pursuing a VTS
• Experience in urgent care, emergency, specialty, or high-volume general practice

Schedule and Compensation

• Full-time position with benefits
• Compensation range: $22–$32/hour
• Schedule is day or swing shifts with one weekend shift plus a holiday rotation
