Construction Project Manager

Project ManagerProject Managers are responsible for delivering assigned construction projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements. To be successful, these individuals must be competent in all areas of project management. They will effectively lead, manage, and delegate task to direct reports and collaborate with other team members as necessary. This position will report to the Director of Project Management. All employees are expected to adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Procon Employee Handbook and Corporate Safety Manual and behave in manner that aligns with Procon's Values.Job Duties and Responsibilities:General Project AdministrationReview and approve invoicesCreate and submit project billingsAssist with collections as neededReview and approve time card entriesSite specific plansCommunicationCommunicate effectively with project team membersCommunicate effectively and respectfully with customersDocumentationDocument pertinent project informationMeetingsSchedule and conduct internal project meetingsAttend client project meetingsContractReview & understand contract documentsEnsure work performed is in accordance with contract documentsDrawings and SpecificationsReview and understand project drawings and specificationEnsure latest drawings and specifications are obtained and distributed to team membersBudgetReview project estimateCreate project budgetMaintain project budgetCreate monthly cost to complete budgetsCreate and manage production trackingGenerate and execute change ordersScheduleReview and understand overall project scheduleCreate project milestone schedule for our workCreate and update sequence plansAssist with creation and updating of look ahead schedulesProcurementSelect project vendors and issues PO'sSelect sub-contractors and issue sub-contractsSubmittalsObtain, create, submit, gain approval, and distribute relevant product data informationObtain, review, submit, gain approval, and distribute relevant shop drawingsRFIGenerate, submit, obtain requested info, and distribute RFI'sOtherOther items assigned by supervisorCompetencies and Skills:A valid driver's license with a good driving record is requiredThree or more years of construction experience is required; commercial concrete construction experience is preferredThe ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English is required; the ability to speak Spanish is preferredAdvanced computer skills are requiredAdvanced blueprint reading skills are requiredExperience with contract interpretation and negotiation is preferredExperience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Apple is preferredExperience with Microsoft Project is preferredExperience with Bluebeam is preferredExperience with Procore is preferredExperience with Foundation is preferredThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
