If you take pride in safe driving, reliable service, and making people's days a little easier, this full-time Bus Driver role puts you at the center of a university community that values every member of its staff.Position Number: S79050This position is a Grade: 7 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $37,190-$44,640 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.What You'll Be DoingOperating university buses and vans to transport students, faculty, staff, and visitors over scheduled campus and local routesFollowing assigned time schedules to ensure reliable, on-time service across Lehigh's Bethlehem campus and designated off-campus destinationsConducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting mechanical issues promptlyProviding courteous, attentive service to all passengers while maintaining a safe vehicle environmentWhat You'll BringHigh School Diploma or GEDOne to three years of related experienceA valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Air Brake endorsement, as required for Lehigh University transportation operationsA clean driving record with demonstrated experience operating buses, vans, or other passenger vehiclesAbility to adhere to set route schedules and adapt to changing conditions or passenger needsStrong situational awareness and a consistent commitment to road and passenger safetyReliable, punctual, and comfortable working a full-time shift schedule including early mornings or evenings as rosteredBasic written communication skills for completing vehicle logs and incident reportsWhy LehighLehigh University has been a cornerstone of the Bethlehem community for over 150 years, and its staff are a genuine part of that story.
