Bus Driver Trainee

School Bus DriverThe Bethlehem Area School District is looking for motivated individuals to become School Bus Driver. Paid training is provided and includes approximately 25 hours of in-classroom instruction and 20 hours of behind-the-wheel training to help you obtain a CDL Class B license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements and Pennsylvania School Bus Driver certification. As a fully trained bus driver, you will follow scheduled routes, transport students safely, and provide excellent customer service. Schedule & Hours Minimum 20 hours/week, up to 40 hours/week. Split shifts: morning runs (6:009:00 a.m.) and afternoon runs (2:004:30 p.m.), MondayFriday. Optional mid-day, evening, and weekend routes available by bid.ResponsibilitiesSafely transport students to and from school and activitiesFollow schedules, district policies, and traffic lawsProvide excellent customer service to students, parents, staff, and the publicPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsCommunicate with the transportation office regarding scheduling or route updatesWillingness to use email, online tools, tablets, and other technologyQualificationsMust be at least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseTransportation or pupil transportation experience helpful, but not requiredAbility to meet all CDL and certification requirements (training provided)Pay & BenefitsTraining pay is $17.00/hour.
