Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), preferably with focused CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) training
• Proven hands-on experience as a CVOR Tech in a fast-paced OR setting
• Thorough understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation specific to cardiovascular procedures
• Competency in assisting surgical teams with setup, intraoperative support, and room turnover
• BLS or equivalent CPR certification required
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
• Detail-oriented with a calm, proactive attitude in acute care situations

• Maintain a sterile environment and anticipate surgeon's needs throughout cardiovascular surgeries
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment specific to cardiac and vascular procedures
• Support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures, including patient positioning and counts
• Ensure accurate completion of documentation and adherence to strict safety protocols
• Assist with room setup and cleanup, ensuring readiness for subsequent cases
• Liaise with nursing and surgical staff to optimize patient outcomes and workflow efficiency

• Practice in a high-acuity surgical suite supporting major cardiovascular cases
• Collaborate closely with expert surgeons, anesthesiologists, and RNs in a supportive environment
• Gain exposure to advanced cardiovascular surgical technology and protocols
• Contribute meaningfully to achieving excellent patient outcomes with each procedure
