Senior Manager - Legal & Contracts

Reporting to: Head of Finance Role Overview Aurigo is strengthening its legal and contracting leadership to support complex enterprise and government customers in the US. This role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of customer contracting and negotiations, with particular depth in US federal and public-sector engagements. This is a senior, hands‑on player‑coach role combining legal expertise, commercial judgment, and negotiation leadership. The role carries significant ownership and negotiation autonomy and is central to enabling Aurigo’s federal and enterprise business at scale. Success requires leaders who understand government contracting dynamics, enterprise SaaS risk profiles, and how to drive complex negotiations to closure. This role will lead and scale Aurigo’s federal and enterprise contracting function. Key Responsibilities Lead and conclude negotiations for US federal, state, and large enterprise customer contracts Own MSAs, SOWs, amendments, renewals, and non‑standard deal structures Serve as the lead contracts and negotiation partner for customer engagements Build and maintain structured contract frameworks across: Federal / Public Sector Standard / scaled offerings Ensure contracts are commercially balanced, legally sound, and aligned to customer type and deal complexity Business Partnership Act as a trusted partner to Sales, Finance, and GTM leadership Provide clear, pragmatic guidance that enables deal progression while managing risk Support predictable and efficient deal execution for enterprise and government customers Team & Capability Leadership Provide senior leadership and mentorship within the contracts function Establish negotiation playbooks and internal guidance Manage external counsel selectively for specialized or non‑routine matters Experience & Profile Required 10+ years of experience in enterprise software contracting Direct, hands‑on experience negotiating US federal and/or state government contracts Strong working knowledge of SaaS agreements, public‑sector procurement, and US contract law Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex customer negotiations Preferred In‑house legal experience in a government‑facing or enterprise software company Experience building scalable contracting frameworks Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder influence Education Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced legal education preferred Strong grounding in U.S. contract law required JD preferred but not required; this is a commercial contracts leadership role and does not require active bar membership What Success Looks Like Clear ownership and leadership of federal and enterprise customer contracts Scalable, well‑adopted contract frameworks across customer segments Strong credibility with Sales and Finance as a negotiation leader Reduced dependency on executive escalation for complex contracts About Aurigo Aurigo is an AI‑native capital program management platform trusted by over 300 customers managing more than $300 billion in capital programs across North America.
