Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required; weekend coverage may vary based on facility need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological conditions
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Document patient care and clinical information using EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required)
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Demonstrate MS/Telemetry skill set, including the ability to pass an EKG exam prior to assignment
• Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• MS/Telemetry competencies required; must pass an EKG exam
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing preferred; candidates with 1+ year of recent relevant unit experience may be considered
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for elderly patients with complex, multi-system disease processes
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
