Retail Store Manager

Island Girl is a locally established retail brand proudly serving our community since 2003 . We are looking for an energetic, experienced, and customer-focused Retail Store Manager to lead our store team and help continue the success of a brand that has been part of the community for more than two decades.

Position Overview

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the overall daily operation and success of the store. This position leads by example, creates an exceptional customer experience, develops and motivates employees, and helps drive sales and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a confident leader who enjoys working with people, has a strong sense of style and presentation, and understands that great customer service is the foundation of a successful retail business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the retail sales team.
• Provide exceptional, personalized customer service and create a welcoming shopping environment.
• Drive daily sales and work toward achieving and exceeding store goals.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop team members.
• Maintain high standards for merchandising, visual presentation, cleanliness, and organization.
• Manage opening and closing procedures and ensure store policies are followed.
• Oversee inventory, receiving, stock organization, transfers, and replenishment.
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionally.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and assist with daily financial procedures.
• Create a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Stay knowledgeable about products, promotions, and current retail trends.
• Assist with special events, promotions, and other company initiatives.
• Represent the Island Girl brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous retail management or supervisory experience min of 3 years experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent customer-service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Dependable, professional, and positive attitude.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Passion for retail, fashion, lifestyle products, and creating memorable customer experiences is a plus.
