Associate Scientist I

Eurofins seeks an Associate Scientist I to support molecular biology and genotyping laboratory operations in River Falls, Wisconsin. The role involves sample preparation, DNA extraction, PCR setup, and data analysis for plant and animal specimens, with responsibilities in quality systems and staff training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and conduct DNA extraction from plant and animal specimens
• Set up and run genotyping PCR assays and perform data analysis
• Maintain laboratory equipment, conduct calibration, and perform general lab cleaning
• Support ISO quality system and safety program compliance
• Assist in training staff and communicate process information internally and to customers

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or Laboratory Science, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to learn lab-specific hardware and software systems
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in team environments
