Resident-Focused Physical Therapist Leader (FT)

Facility: Isles of Boynton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Position: Physical Therapist Location: Boynton Beach, FL Shift: Full Time Salary: $55 - $60 per hour Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of physical therapy services at Isles of Boynton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, facility policies, and professional guidelines, while providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. Key Responsibilities Oversee and deliver physical therapy services in accordance with physician orders, American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) standards, and applicable state practice acts. Plan, organize, and monitor physical therapy programs, ensuring adherence to facility policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to physical therapy outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and taking appropriate action. Lead and manage the physical therapy team, including performance evaluations of physical therapy assistants, ensuring accountability and compliance with professional standards. Develop and maintain effective processes for resident screening, evaluation, treatment, discharge, and documentation. Provide accurate resident information for assessments, including functional abilities, goals, range of motion, balance, therapy minutes, and related data. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff through effective communication and engagement. Ensure proper use, storage, sanitation, and maintenance of physical therapy equipment and cleanliness of therapy areas. Deliver compassionate, resident-centered care to optimize physical functioning and satisfaction with therapy services. Qualifications Valid, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida. Educational qualifications meeting state licensure requirements. Thorough knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, long-term care guidelines, and relevant laws. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
