Quality Technician I

PlannerSchedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PMAdditional Requirements:Overtime may be required based on business needs.Occasional Saturday work may be mandatory.Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner to coordinate and manage the flow of inbound and outbound transportation activities. This role is responsible for scheduling trucks, communicating with carriers and vendors, and ensuring seamless coordination between our customer and two warehouse locations.Key Responsibilities:Schedule and manage inbound and outbound truck appointments.Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and drivers to ensure timely arrivals and departures.Communicate regularly with customers regarding shipment schedules and transportation needs.Work closely with two warehouse facilities to optimize scheduling and operational efficiency.Resolve scheduling conflicts and proactively address transportation issues.Maintain accurate records and scheduling information.Qualifications:Strong organizational and planning skills.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain operations is preferred.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating operations, communicating with multiple stakeholders, and helping ensure efficient daily transportation activities.Role Purpose:Provide leadership, training, support and disciplines for establishment, maintenance, alignment and continual improvement of the QA System. Responsible for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies and procedures and accommodating requests for support. Leads QA team. Assigns QA team work schedules, directs team, trains associates in required QA processes and monitor's associates' compliance and progress.Key Accountabilities:Monitor and report level of QMS implementation, compliance and effectiveness through audit activities, observation, review of quality metrics and customer feedback.Facilitate QA training for new and existing associates.Review documents and instruction prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.Work with Quality Assurance, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams to progress Quality initiatives. Incorporate QA, OP and PIM tools and methodologies, as appropriate, in performance of tasks.Recommends appropriate methods for supporting the site operations' requirements for quality assurance compliance.Lead/support coordination of QA license, permit and registration activities and provide direction for compliance with FDA, DEA, ATF, State and other similar regulatory requirements.Perform daily quality assurance activities as required or directed by management.Lead and facilitate development of QMS documentation.Required Education and Experience:High School Diploma or EquivalentForklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employmentAssociate degree or equivalent in related field of study, preferredOur Organization is an equal opportunity employer.
