About the role:

The Distribution Support position is responsible for accurately maintaining records of all products coming in and going out of the Purchasing and Distribution Department. They are responsible for accurately managing the handling and movement, storage, and shipping of products. This role is a crucial link in the company’s supply chain, ensuring goods get to customers efficiently and accurately.

Job type: Full-time; temp to hire

Pay: $22 per hour

Schedule: Mon-Fri: 7:30am-4pm

Parking: Available on-site

Responsibilities:
* Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and mail
* Process and fulfill product orders ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of packages and mail to customers
* Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
* Assist in scheduling large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
* Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
* Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
* Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
* Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
* Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, unloading large pallets of merchandise
* Manage tracking and tracing of inventory
* Manage the delivery of products, supplies, and services. Coordinate in office pick ups
* Manage and track inventory and submit purchase orders as needed
* Additionally assisting with submitting purchase orders, receiving deliveries / products, and registering them as needed.

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy office setting
* Must have an excellent driving record and valid driver’s license
* Strong customer service skills and highly organized
* Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to stand for an extended period
* Must have strong and accurate computer skills and working knowledge of MS excel
* Must be comfortable working autonomously and making decisions
