What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics via standardized tests and hands-on observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans highlighting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Work in concert with your interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to craft seamless care strategies.
- Provide education for patients and their families to enhance therapy outcomes beyond clinical settings.
- Support inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a continuum of care throughout the recovery journey.
- Maintain precise documentation in compliance with all applicable standards and guidelines.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers.
Your Background
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
Necessary Credentials
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
