Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Provides respiratory care services to patients who require emergency care, intensive care, therapeutic treatment, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostic testing, and patient education for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders. Monitors and maintains equipment and participates in quality assurance and improvement activities. Interviews, examines, and assesses patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. Consults with physicians to develop patient treatment plans. Creates therapy programs for patients based on the instructions of physicians and assessment findings. Performs diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity. Treats patients using a variety of methods, including chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and non-invasive methods such as CPAP and BIPAP therapies. Implements a strict three-strike attendance policy to support the needs of patients and ensure appropriate staffing coverage. Any contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift, arrives more than 20 minutes late, or fails to fulfill their scheduled shift without prior approval will receive an attendance strike. Accumulating three attendance strikes will result in termination from the assignment, effective immediately. Extenuating circumstances, such as a communicable illness or hospitalization, accompanied by appropriate supporting documentation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
